The crew and cast said their goodbyes to Siyabonga after he shot his final scene. Isibaya held a small farewell party for the veteran actor.
The production team also said a few words on behalf of the show. Siyabonga played the character of Mpiyakhe Zungu on the telenovela. Mzansi fell in love with the way he portrayed his role and his overall acting skills.

His exit will surely not go down well with the loyal viewers of the show who have been following his incredible journey for the past eight years. Siyabonga thanked the producers of the soapie, Desiree Markgraaff, and Angus Gibson, for giving him a lead role on the show.
According to ZAlebs, Siyabonga said
“Thank you for trusting me with this role. It’s been a great journey. We’ve had some challenges, but it was nothing personal, we were both trying to fix it and make it better. So, thank you, I hope our paths cross again.”
Viewers were not pleased after learning that he has officially left the show, stating that they will not be watching the telenovela ever again. A statement nobody wants to hear at Isibaya at the moment looking at how they are skating on thin ice and on the verge of cancellation
