Showmax, a part of MultiChoice Group is reviewing its content checking for racism that has resulted in the removal of Leon Schuster six films.
The 69-year-old comedian, Leon Schuster’s removed films include You Must Be Joking, You Must Be Joking Too, Oh Schucks…It’s Schuster, Sweet ‘n Short, Schuks! Pay Back the Money, and Frank and Fearless

Personally I’m going to admit that Leon I found Leon Schuster’s movies quite funny growing up. Admittedly he made a lot money using blackface but I don’t think that makes him racist. Did he spread hate? Did he dehumanize blacks?

The head of communications for Showmax Richard Boorman confirms that Leon Schuster’s films were removed after regarded as racially insensitive.
Boorman reveals that several films have been removed from the streaming service platform along with Schuster’s films as a move to counter racism.
