Showmax has confirmed that The Real Housewives of Durban reality show has been renewed for a third season. Unfortunately, the cast of the show has not been named yet. Many show fans have expressed how they would like the cast to be reshuffled. Season 2 was a bit controversial, and many fans shared the sentiments they wish certain cast members were ruining the show.
Two seasons of RHOD
During season 1 of the reality show, there were six cast members. Sorisha Naidoo, Anne Ludick, LaConco, Nonku Williams, Mabusi and Ayanda Ncwane. A lot of drama unfolded, with Nonku demanding that Ayanda pay damages for her child with Ayanda’s late husband, Sfiso Ncwane. Ayanda didn’t return for season 2 as she is a full-time Johanessburg resident.
In season two, 3 ladies joined the cast; Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku, Londie London and Jojo Robinson. One of the most discussed cast members was Thobile MaKhumalo Mseleku, married to the polygamist Musa Mseleku. Many thought she wasn’t a great fit as her marriage was unique; her lifestyle wasn’t as opulent as the other ladies.
All the ladies seemed to have a lot of fun during the show’s second season. Whether all of them will return is still a great mystery. Fans made a few suggestions on Twitter. One of the suggestions is that Thobile does not return as many thought she was a misfit. Another suggestion is that Tamia Mpisane joins the show. Tweeps have mixed emotions about Tamia joining the show, with many saying she seems too humble. To be a real housewife, a woman should be dramatic and zesty.
Two ladies who seem to be favoured by fans in KwaZulu Natal to join the show potentially are Babes Wodumo and Gugu Khathi. Babes Wodumo is a gqom star married to the gqom and kwaito musician Mampintsha. Gugu Khathi is a retired choreographer turned businesswoman married to the famous Dj and record label owner Dj Tira. These characteristics may fit for the cast.
