A piece of news that is sure to send shockwaves in the South African football fraternity, Royal AM President Shauwn Mkhize, has ‘signed’ Orlando Pirates to fan Mamajoy Chauke in one of the most controversial football deals in South Africa.
Mamajoy Chauke has missed only one home game for Orlando Pirates in 20 years for her family grief in 2012. She is leaving her favourite club for good.

Football fans on social media believe Mamajoy was lured to Royal AM by the multimillionaire businesswoman’s irresistible offer.
Fans rarely change teams as their affiliation to a football team is not based on financial gain but loyalty. It is the first time that a fan has been signed in South Africa. Only time will tell if Mama Joy will remain a Royal AM fan.
