Since its debut four seasons ago, Mzansi Magic’s drama series The River has been wowing Mzansi with its interesting storyline and plot. Undoubtedly, the drama series has fast become that telenovela we all love to hate. However, despite having big names on its cast, Tinah Mnumzana has been winning big of late.
The bubbly actress plays the character of Flora, who happens to be Lindiwe Dikana’s housemaid. She is not just a housemaid but a mother too. Her son’s homosexuality gives her headaches, but she is slowly coming to terms with his being gay.
Not so long ago, the drama series made all sorts of headlines when it screened the first-ever on-screen gay marriage in the history of the Mzansi drama series. With an illustrious career spanning decades, she has managed to star in more than fifteen drama series and several films.
The celebrated actress was thrust into the limelight when she starred in then Mzansi most-watched drama series. She hogged headlines with her Florence gig in Isidingo and later starred as Constance in Scandal!. However, of interest is that she was also part of the star-studded cast of Generations.

Apart from soap operas, her film credits include roles in Beat the Drum, Yesterday; There Are No Angels Here, Life Above All, Greener Grass, Price of Sugar, Mrs Mandela, State of Violence, Machine Gun Preacher and Dora’s Peace. However, in 2018 she proved that she was the goddess of drama series after being cast in The River as Flora, a housemaid of the Dikana’s.

In the wake of her gigs, Mzansi wondered how old the actress could be? She is best known for keeping her private life under wraps. However, her age seems to have leaked out. The veteran actresss is 54-years-old and was born in 1967.
However, at some point, she made all sorts of headlines when she headed for divorce three years into marriage. Back then in 2003 her Xavier Reef, Johannesburg mansion was repossessed but two years later she regain it after paying out the debt.
