South African actress Zethu Dlomo has made a name for herself as one of the most sought-after talents in the acting industry and is recognized for it. The actress has landed more roles than most since her career blew up in 2012 with her role in Room 2. More than a decade later, Dlomo has not lost her relevance in the industry and is going strong, landing acting jobs.
Zethu Dlomo’s business empire as an entertainer
Zethu takes on the role of Thandi, a lead character in Isibopho on Mzansi Wethu. Here she is a widowed woman who lost her husband and father-in-law after his mother-in-law and brother-in-law murdered them. She is left with a young daughter and gets to inherit the business and house according to her late father-in-law’s will. However, her biggest enemies are the woman she respects and a brother-in-law she does not trust, and they are trying to get their hands on the business for their illegal dealings. Because of this, she gets trapped using tradition to marry her in-law and get to carry on her husband’s legacy.
Before this role, Zethu had a lot of parts in many local television shows since she started acting in 2009. Dlomo has been featured in Generations, Isibaya, Lingashoni, The Herd, Scandal and many more. Her most recent works are in Lingashoni and Ayeye, while she plays Thandi in Isibopho also.
Zethu’s international roles
Dlomo’s business empire has also stretched into the international entertainment scene, and she is recognized globally. Zethu was part of the cast of the international series Black Sails where she played the role of Madi. The actress had a role in BET’s Book of Negroes where she played a pregnant enslaved person named Sanu in collaboration with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
