Most people have gotten to know Zonke Mchunu for her role as Imani Nkosi on Muvhango. The actress has taken on the role flawlessly and made many people believe she is her character. She has found herself a victim of an attack from a show fan because of her acting. Zonke had a very rough childhood, starting when her father passed on when she was 11 years old. Her mother was left alone to take care of six children alone. This put a dent in Zonke’s education and career path. Being a bright student, she started pursuing a Civil Engineering qualification at Berea Tech. However, financial constraints at home made her drop out and not finish the programme.
Mchunu did not let her situation stop her dreams and applied for financial aid. She was accepted at the Durban University of Technology and given financial help.
