I’ve worked with cars, in logistics, and in the beauty industry; I have a firefighting qualification in health and safety, anatomy and physiology. NOT THE NORMAL ONE, ke mina.
Lady Du was born in 1991, meaning it took her 12 years to obtain 19 qualifications.
In her own words, during an interview, she said;
“I worked on a ship travelling the world doing beauty, studied fire fighting, teeth whitening specialist, and safety officer position. I came back, worked at my dad’s shop, worked with trucks (logistics), and then worked organising events for a foundation. All that money I invested back into my music.”
The amapiano star also spoke about how it was hard for her to fund her education. She used to do odd jobs to put food on the table and to pay for her qualifications.
Through her hard work and determination, she sailed through it all, and today, she beams with pride with her 19 qualifications.
“come hell or High water, pay or no pay, they got paid. They stuck by me when I had no hits; today, They get to share my dream with me. Whatever I have, they will have. You might not like the job you have but make use of it. Everything I have comes from my own hands,”
