School reopen South Africa: South Africa learners are eager to know when schools are going to reopen in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic.
Learners saw their schools closing in March after the President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa announced a state of emergency on the 15th of March 2020 which resulted in the shutting of schools and closing of some entry points into South Africa. South Africa has 72 ports of entry and 35 of those where shut down by then. Ramaphosa then declared a lockdown on the 23rd of March 2020 to start from Thursday 26th of March 2020. Schools were ordered to close but they are no reopening dates which were set.

South Africa has started to ease the lockdown restrictions to allow the economy to kickstart. Essential industries have been allowed to open and other professionals such as electricians and plumbers have been allowed to work.
