Scandal: Friday 14 January 2022 – Lera and Zen are caught pants down by Mbali
Recap of last night’s episode
Everything is going wrong for Gloria as she realises that the Kubekas are not going to help her husband. After her confrontation with the family she is faced with the cold fact that the family does not have money to help them anymore, and she would have to let her husband stay in prison a little longer.
Meanwhile, without a job, Lera finds out that she does not have much of a life besides her relationship with Dudu. However, since Dudu has to deal with the company crisis at the office, she can’t afford to spend her days entertaining her girlfriend. Bored out of her mind, Lera challenges Zen to a game of table tennis which he agrees to.
In the meantime, Nhlamulo is making a deal with the devil himself to try and save his marriage. After his accident, he still finds it hard to earn Lindiwe’s forgiveness, so instead of showing her Mdala’s true colours, he asks what the price for Lindi’s freedom would be and makes a deal to do one last job.

Lera ups her game and tries to get more out of her time at home with Zen. Was this all her plan all along that she ends up at the Kubekas mansion? What will happen when Dudu finds out what her girlfriend has been up to at home while working hard to save the company? For Zen, who is used to betraying his family for his own gain, maybe Lera has found herself an easy fish to bait.
Nhlamulo’s quest to save his marriage’s biggest hindrance has been Lindiwe’s inability to see Mdala’s sheepskin. Will the empathy he earned himself because of the accident earn him a passage to forgiveness?
