Rapper and television presenter Anele Zondo was on stage about to perform her hit single Ingwe for her fans. Anele was ready with her all-white outfit with feathery touches and cool glasses. Suddenly, an unidentified woman with red box braids and a yellow blazer ran to the stage and snatched the mic from Anele. She posted the video on her Instagram page and captioned it, “I think I need security.”
What did Anele do after the mic was snatched?
Anele’s initial reaction was shock, and it’s understandable. Composure was her game. She held part of the mic together with the mysterious lady and just smiled. Fortunately for the rapper, another lady came to the stage and rescued her. She pulled the lady with box braids away, reprimanded her, and then handed Anele the mic back. Ingwe’s hitmaker carried on with her performance as if nothing had happened.
Her fans expressed so much shock.
In the video, we can hear a few voices asking who the unidentified lady is. When Anele posted the video, her fans were livid over the ordeal. Her fans questioned the lady’s nerve and audacity. Anele made a valid point when she said she needed security. If the unidentified lady went to Anele to do something violent, we’d be speaking a different story right now.

Some of the Mzansi celebs who comforted Anele over the issue include the Generations The Legacy actress Rosemary Zimu. Others are the rapper Moozlie and the socialite, and influencer Dudu Chili, who recently married Kid X. Vocalist Cici also sent Anele encouraging words.
Break from the drama
A few days after the whole stage drama, Anele drove to Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal Province to visit her mother. Upon her arrival, she spent time with her mother and niece. Being home has a way of reviving a person’s spirits.
What’s next for Anele?
She utterly shocked Mzansi when she announced leaving Massive Music. Anele presented on the show for a total of four years. Although fans were worried, the Ingwe hitmaker assured them she’ll explore more avenues in the industry.
