Samkelo Ngocobo’s brother speaks out has spoken out about the incident that resulted in his young brother being jailed. Samkelo Ngcobo is a 21 year old man who was arrested by the police a year ago after being found at a robbery scene at a petrol station in KwaZulu Natal.

Samkelo’s account of the story is that he was hijacked by robbers whilst driving an UBER. He claims to have been kidnapped and forced to attend a crime scene using the car he was driving. The attempted robbery at the petrol station failed leading to the arrest of Samkelo and another suspect. Other two suspects escaped and are still on the run. He has since failed to prove his innocence and has currently spent over a year in remand prison.

Samkelo’s family believe their child is innocent in the matter. They have however failed to prove Samkelo was not part of the robbers.
