The seasoned actress was born 7 November 1950, KwaMashu, Durban. The 71-year-old has seen her acting career spanning for decades, and she has capped it with accolades.
Growing up, her family dreamed that she would be a nurse one day, but things went south, and the actress fell pregnant and had to drop out of school. However, to make ends meet, she had to drop out of school and secure a job.
Like other season actresses who didn’t wish to join acting, she found herself making all sorts of headlines after being cast as a domestic worker in one of Mzansi’s drama series. Her stardom saw her taking her arts serious. She spreads her wings into music, and she becomes a star sensation. A few years later, she had toured around the globe.
