Salaries: Gomora actor Teddy ‘Sicelo Buthelezi’s monthly salary raises eyebrows
Actor Sicelo Buthelezi, who plays Teddy on Gomora, won an award as the Best Upcoming Actor in his debut season. On Gomora, Teddy is a slow learner born with fetal alcohol syndrome, which caused him to struggle to grasp concepts. His mother, Zodwa (Sannah Mchunu), is a reformed alcoholic, and his father, Don Buthelezi, is a gang leader who died from baby mama’s gunshot.

Sicelo’s Buthelezi’s storyline on Gomora depicts the struggles families and children face in the crowded townships of South Africa. Gang-related violence, hunger, substance abuse and broken families and rape, Teddy experienced it all.
