She has been dupped as one of Mzansi’s finest. We can all agree that she has proven that age is just a number with her unmatched acting in recent years. Recently she saw herself trending after she was recently reported as one of the few star actresses who are still nailing it at the age of 80-years-old.
There is more to Generations actress Gog’ Flo than we thought. Ivy Nkutha is a South African actress best known as Gog’ Flo on Generations The Legacy.
Of interest, she might not have been wowing our small screen if it was not about her grandaughter’s influence that compelled her to venture into acting. Success always comes when least expected, and the actress is living proof of that. The seasoned actress was born on 20 August 1941, Alexandra, South Africa. She holds a diploma in Nursing, and she graduated from St. Thomas Training Institution.
She later joins corporate nursing at the Westrand Administration Board. The seasoned actress later switches the floor to a marketing organisation.
Years later, she joined a dental care school as a dental educator. She once openly indicated that her grandaughter Noluthando Maleka influenced her acting career. Noluthando Maleka is best known as Dudu on Yizo Yizo.
“When Noluthando went to her first audition for a Stork margarine advert, she was three years old, and I remember accompanying her. I never wanted to be an actress, and I knew nothing about acting,” she says.
“When I went with her to the set of Soul City, the director asked me if I could do apart for them. I didn’t hesitate, I did it, and they liked it,” she says.
After being a part of the Soul City cast, the rest was history. Her gig on Soul City thrust her into the limelight. With her acting career spanning for decades, she has been a reckoning force in the entertainment industry.

From Muvhango, she joined Isidingo; then, she bagged a gig on City Ses’La. However, her sta was short-lived after she joined and Zabalaza.
