Meshack Mavuso is a celebrated South African actor best known for his on-screen character Javas on Yizo Yizo. However, currently, he is making all sorts of headlines with his unmatched talent as Dr Thabo on etv’s medical drama series Durban Gen. The 45-year-old was born on 8 April 1977.
Of late, he has been the face of the drama series, and he has been wowing Mzansi. His unmatched talent is actually out of this world. However, apart from acting, he also doubles as writer and director.

“There was a point where I didn’t even have a car (anymore). I remember they wanted to repossess our house at some point. It was so terrible. People would come and view the house and my daughter would say; ‘What are they doing here? Why do they want to take our home?’ I would go into the toilet and sit there and cry.
