Ever wondered how much your favourite actors earn for keeping you entertained? Most Mzansi telenovela storylines are closely linked, making comparisons on ground level. Here is a look at how much different productions pay for their lead actresses.
Harriet and Thati portray lead roles, and they both have one thing in common. They can kill unapologetically and will never feel remorseful about their actions. On set, both queens are widows who murdered their husbands, making Mzansi curious to know how much these actresses earn to play their roles perfectly.
Harriet and Thati are among the most paid actress in Mzansi, and it’s worth a doubt that the showrunners of The Queen and Gomora are digging deep in their pockets so they can pay them handsomely. Both stars are iconic actresses who started acting in the 1990s and have facilitated their skills in becoming Mzansi’s favourite actresses. It will be unfair to talk about the most outstanding actresses in Mzansi without bringing Connie Ferguson and Katlego Danke into the equation.
Salaries of Harriet and Thati
Connie Ferguson recently made headlines after his salary on The Queen was leaked. As of 2022, she is taking home a salary of R100,000 for her lead role as Harriet. On The Queen, Harriet plays the heartless woman who doesn’t hesitate to kill anyone who mercies with her. Harriet is an enemy sister of Brutus, played by Themba Ndaba; she just killed her long-time lover Hector after he surprised her with a divorce.
On the other hand, Katlego Danke plays the role of Thati, a gorgeous daughter of a bloody murderer MaMsonto played by Connie Chiume. Thati is a widow of Phumulani, whom she killed while defending herself from death. For her role on Gomora, she is paid a whopping R85,000 per month. We can all agree that it’s hard to lure her from Gomora as she is one of the most paid actresses in the country.
Connie Ferguson and Katlego Danke once worked together when they were cast members on the long-running show Generations The Legacy. They co-worked well, but it’s not clear whether they are friends.
