Gomora is one of the most watched telenovelas in Mzansi due to its unique storyline and actors. The telenovela has various cast members, the young and upcoming actors and the older actors who have been in the acting industry for ages. The telenovela has brought in new faces of characters like Sibongile (Nandipa Khubone) and Teddy (Sicelo Buthelezi)
Sibongile and Teddy are siblings who are always there for each other, and many would have wondered how much they are getting paid to nail their sibling roles to perfection.
Despite Gomora being one of the low-budget telenovelas in Mzansi, the showrunners of the show have managed to pay their actors handsomely.

Salaries of Nandipa Khubone and Sicelo Buthelezi
Nandipa Khubone plays the role of Sibongile, aka Sbosh, daughter of Don Buthelezi, who stays with her stepmother Zodwa (played by Sannah Mchunu). She craved a soft life and landed into a dilemma when she dated a blesser Mr Duncan Leballo who preyed on vulnerable school girls. Sibongile is proving that she is a master of the craft as she portrays her role excellently.
For her character on Gomora, the actress is taking home a salary of R28 000 monthly, something reasonable for an incoming actress.
On the other hand, Sicelo Buthelezi plays the character of Teddy, the son of Zodwa and Don Buthelezi, and he values family more than anything. Although he is a stepbrother to Sibongile, he treats her like her blood sister, ensuring she has the best outcomes and is provided with safety and effective care.
Sicelo Buthelezi is taking home a salary of R30 000 for his role as Teddy on Gomora. Sicelo’s storyline on Gomora illustrates the struggles family and children face in the depressing townships of South Africa. Hooliganism, hunger, drug abuse, broken families, and rape Teddy has experienced and mastered the craft of surviving it.
Teddy and Sibongile’s storyline on Gomora is an inspiration to many. The two siblings come from a home where their mother (Zodwa) was an alcohol addict, but the two chose a different path to be well-behaved children. They have displayed that the environment you came from can not change or mould your character.
