Muvhango creator Duma Ndlovu issues out an ultimatum to cast and crew ‘No vaccine, no job.’ It never rains but pours for Muvhango’s cast and crew. In the wake of their renewed contract, actors and crew have been given an ultimatum to get vaccinated or lose their contracts. Muvhango has hogged the headlines yet again for the wrong reasons.
A few months ago, the show made all sorts of headlines after their cast and crew confirmed that they were not sure if the show would continue or not, given that SABC did not confirm their contract renewal. The cast hasn’t been on set for at least three months.
However, the good news has since flooded social media that SABC has given the show a nod for its next season. The cast and crew are expected to report for duty next month.
Duma Ndlovu revealed the directive during a meeting with the cast and crew. Rumour has it that the meeting also showed the companies costs and how they can be reduced in the coming financial season.

However, word of the street has it that the actors have revolted against the showrunners. Close sources to the matter have it that some have even indicated that they will opt for legal recourse if they get axed from the drama series. SABC has been implicated in the equation.
Some actors believe that the showrunners are just trying to axe actors and now using vaccination jabs as an excuse.
News reaching Savanna news has it that seasoned actors went on head-on with the showrunners over salaries woes and contract renewals, and this did not go well with Ndlovu.
Confirmed reports have it that several actors have had a fallout with the drama series creator. One source has it that:
“With so much debate going on about the safety of the vaccines, the actors are reluctant to get the jab, so they feel that Ndlovu is being unfair by forcing them to vaccinate if they want to keep their jobs,” said the source.
