Romeo Medupe not leaving Scandal
Good news for all you soapie lovers.
Hungani Ndlovu who portrays the character of Romeo Medupe in Scandal! is not leaving the popular e.tv soapie.
Sunday World published an article saying Hungani had been fired from Scandal! meaning the character Romeo would be no more.
This left Scandal! fans stressing that their favorite character Romeo Medupe was going to be removed from the soapie as if the coronavirus pandemic has not caused enough stressing.
The coronavirus has seen many shows halt production and even make some hard staff cuts. SA drama series have gone through the most and fans are not shocked when they hear another actor is being sliced out of some show.
Seeing the commotion the Sunday World article had caused the Scandal! production team stepped in to calm fans’ nerves and responded saying Hungani had not been fired and that they were happy with his conduct.
“There’s a published article circulating around that Hungani is leaving the show. As #etvScandal, we’re disputing every allegation stated in the article. Hungani has not been fired by production. We’re happy with his excellent professionalism and work ethic, ” Scandal! said.
Hungani Ndlovu had taken to Twitter to appreciate the support he had received from his fans. The viewers of the soapie have been commended him for his acting skills and the way he portrays the character of Romeo Medupe.
Hungani posted: “Receiving so much love on these Twitter streets since last night! Thank you everyone.”
