Grounded Dr Malinga’s bank balance skyrockets after receiving thousands of cash from Black Coffee and other well-wishers. Malinga failed to pay his mortgage, and he saw his house left with nothing as SARS auctioned his property to pay back Malinga’s dues. He saw the process happening, which broke his heart as he cried in an interview with Podcast and Chill with MacG. At some point, Maling said he believed that he would recover and pay for everything but that never happened, and he had to get assistance to survive.
After the big man cried on camera, he left the whole of Mzansi feeling sorry for him. The Petronella hitmaker had been one of the hottest musicians a few years ago and made a lot of money. No one ever believed Malinga would beg for aid a few years later, but it happened. After his interview, Malinga received much support from fellow artists like Makhadzi, Oskido and Black Coffee. All this help has left Malinga emotional and speechless as he pens a thank you message to Black Coffee and others who helped. Opening up has turned Dr Malinga from being a beggar in a day, leaving his bank balance rising.

Rarely would you hear Mzansi’s best DJ in the news for the wrong reasons, and now he has given Dr Malinga what he never expected. Speaking to MacG on a call, Malinga confirmed that DJ Black Coffee sent him R20k. He also said that many people send him little money, which he appreciates. In a short time, Malinga is almost back to his best time with little amounts like R10 coming into his account.
In other news, it was confirmed that Makhadzi had offered him a chance to perform on her One Woman show. Assistance is coming for Maling from all angles, and he is out of words when describing the love he gets from all of Mzansi.
