His on-screen character has wowed Mzansi. Fats stars as Suffocate Ndlovu right-hand man when it comes to running the ever-thriving Kilowatt Night Club. He stars as a slow non-ambitious character a complete opposite of his real-life character.
Rhythm City actor ‘Fats’ Mpho Molepo joins Skeem Saam
Fats’ thrust into the limelight in the entertainment industry can be traced back to the ’90s. Mpho is the son of multi-award-winning theatre gaffer Arthur Molepo who also doubles as his mentor. Talent runs in the Molepo family and they have made a mark in the entertainment industry.
Rumour has it that Mpho is also related to Mpho Joseph Molepo who played the lead role in the SABC2 mini-series Huis van Liefde and is currently playing Kabisi Moroka on Generations The Legacy.
Just like many celebrated actors, Mpho started acting at the age of three when he took part in theatre acts just like Leleti Khumalo. He is one of the long-serving cast actors of Rhythm City and his stay spans for years.
Little is known about his private life. Of late many questions have been asked on how much does the seasoned star earns at Rhythm City since he seems to be one of its old guards.
