Fezile Makhanya has been killing his role as the new Gomora Principal, Mr Nkosinathi Cele, to perfection. His character was introduced in season 3 of the telenovela Gomora and was set to replace Principal Melusi Dlamini (Zolisa Xaluva). Fezile Makhanya’s salary on Gomora has been disclosed and has left many surprised.
He joined Gomora as Nkosinathi Cele, a Geography teacher who later became rivals with Ms Jackie Hlungwani (Leera Mthethwa) as they were competing for the Gomora High Principal position. However, his qualifications and experience in the academic department made him the principal of Gomora High. Being the Gomora High Principal comes with a lot of responsibility and Nkosinathi is proving to be a suitable candidate for the job by introducing new measures to protect a girl child from the dangerous community of Gomora.
Nkosinathi Cele ‘Fezile Makhanya’ salary on Gomora
Nkosinathi Cele’s character replaces Melusi Dlamini, who got jailed for murder. He is in a romantic relationship with Gladys (Thembi Seete), and the couple is madly in love. As the couple is enjoying their relationship, Ntokozo, Gladys’s son, is unhappy about the relationship. He feels her mother will son abandon him for her newly found love.
The storyline of Gomora is currently centred on Nkosinathi Cele and Gladys’s relationship, the two are deeply in love, but they have their relationship problems just like any other couple.
Even though Gomora is one of the low-budget telenovelas in the country, the showrunners of Gomora have managed to pay their actors handsomely. As a new cast member in the show, Fezile Makhanya is taking home a salary of R32 000 per month. His salary increases as his character become a lead character.

In the recent episode of Gomora, Zodwa (Sannah Mchunu) and Bongani (Thulani Mtsweni) visited principal Nkosinathi Cele to discuss the leaked photos of her daughter Sibongile. Mr Cele told Zodwa that he had not found the culprit who printed the naked pictures and spread them all over the schoolyard.
With anger, Zodwa compared Nkosinathi to Melusi. Zodwa admitted that Melusi was a better principal than Mr Cele; he was strict, and during his time, the children of Gomora High never misbehaved. Bongani also supported Zodwa’s comparisons leaving Mr Cele surprised. Well, maybe these comparisons will help Mr Cele to pull up his socks and be the fearful and strict principal that students will love to hate
