Rapper AKA upgrades his deal with Cruz vodka as he is set to launch his alcohol brand.
Kiernan Forbes, famously known as AKA, is a force to be reckoned with in the South African entertainment industry. He has bagged many profitable deals in his career as a musician and partnered with big brands because of his fame and influence. One of these brands is New York’s Cruz vodka, which he has worked with for many years now and is about to grow his business with them.
AKA took to his Instagram to share that he is dissolving his partnership with Cruz Vodka as their brand ambassador. His name will be phased off the Cruz Watermelon bottle, which will happen from May to October this year. This summer, the Cruz Banana brand will be phased out of the market as they start a new contract with the rapper.

The idea is for AKA to remain part of the Cruz Vodka family, but in a different capacity; as he has made known, his business model will change to AKA owned brands. The rapper is partnering with an international alcohol brand to create his spirits brand. The Cruz Vodka company is as excited as AKA to see what he will bring to the South African alcohol market in this exciting period of his career.
AKA upgrades from partner to brand owner with Cruz Vodka
It looks like it’s not only the rapper who is excited, as fans of the superstar are already impatient to see what he is bringing. Given his rivalry and competition with Cassper Nyovest, many fans think that AKA wants to do everything that the other rapper does and owning an alcohol brand is one of them. However, other fans see this for what it is and that a smart business move on AKA’s part as he will leave a legacy behind instead of a partnership that may end anytime.
The date as to when AKA’s spirit brand will be launched has not been shared, and the rapper only states that it will be soon. He goes on to thank the Cruz Vodka family for supporting his decision and keep wanting to work with him.
