Rapper AKA stars alongside Naak Musiq and Dumisani Mbede in the new movie ‘Nandi.’
The South African rapper who has shown his versatility in the music industry is also spreading his wings into acting. AKA took to his Instagram to announce that he is featured in the new local movie, Nandi.

Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, famous as AKA, has announced that he is featured in a locally produced film called Nandi. Alessio Bettocchi produces the film, and Canopus Films shoots it, and Khalid EL-Jelailati directs the movie. For AKA, this is his acting debut.
The movie plot
The film will tell the story of Nandi and Carl. Nandi is a runaway, and Carl is a meth addict. These two are dating and finding it hard to make ends meet, and they turn to prostitution to try and make money to survive and fund their expensive addictions. However, they steal a bag of drugs from a dangerous drug lord called Moth. The consequences of their crime lead to a series of violent confrontations that finds the two lovers running for their lives. Nandi finds herself running back home to her father after many years of estrangement.

Many famous actors like Dumisani Mbede, Lorcia Cooper, Naak Musiq, Riky Rick are in the movie.Tenji Pswarayi and Richard Gau. Tenji Pswarayi and Richard Gau play Nandi and Carl, respectively. Tenji is a commercial model and an award-winning poet and writer, and Richard is an actor who is currently playing Jonno on Legacy. Riky Rick is another surprising cast member of this film, and he will be playing a police detective. Dumisani Mbede will play the role of Nandi’s father.
The production house has not announced the release date. But the film crew has finished shooting. Some of the actors have said how grateful they are to be part of the production. The story has a unique storyline.
