Many know seasoned South African actor Rantebeng Makapan as the famous Thomas Mashaba from Generations’ who played the son of Kenneth Mashaba. However, what many people do not know about this actor who disappeared from our screens is his hands in almost everything, and he is also a businessman. Rantebeng Makapan’s famous acting roles
The actor may still be known by the public as the spoilt son of Kenneth Mashaba on the SABC 1 show Generations before he left the show. He also had an affair with his stepmother, Dineo, making their love triangle an exciting story that made him a household name. The actor took a sabbatical and went abroad for school before returning and taking on his role as Morapedi Mojalefa in Muvhango which he said felt like coming back home after a long time.
These days Rantebeng is not acting as an actor in the industry and likes to keep his life away from the public’s eye for personal reasons. His social media pages are not as active as many actors’, and he prefers it as he is concentrating on his businesses and family now. Rantebeng Makapan’s diversified education qualifications
Before his breakout as an actor, Rantebeng Makapan was at the Tshwane University of Technology, where he graduated in 2004. The actor specialized in Dramatic Arts and was a well-known theatre performer at the school. He has also managed to attend acting workshops during his time at Muvhango and has certificates to show for it.
A few years ago, Rantebeng left his thriving acting career in South Africa to pursue medicine in Russia. The actor, however, managed to study for a few years before he decided to drop out and come back home with a few business ideas he had started up. Even though he did not finish his degree, Rantebeng knows medicine filled due to his education in the few years he was pursuing the course.
