A woman was recently short in the Park Crescent Complex in Orchards, north of Tshwane, on Wednesday by a man who subsequently killed himself.
The woman was seen lying on a pool of blood in pictures shared widely on social media.
‘They transported the boyfriend for medical attention at a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries on arrival.”“He shot himself in the head and shot the woman on the body. I’m not sure if the face is also shot. He’s dying. He must die – minus one problem,” says a man recording the video.
Police spokesman Captain Mavela Masondo said the police hurried to the scene after being alerted about the incident and discovered a man and woman lying down after a shooting incident. He said both persons died from gunshot wounds, with the woman being pronounced dead on arrival and the alleged boyfriend dying later.
“On arrival, police discovered the female had been shot in her upper body and the man was alleged to have shot himself in the upper body. He said emergency services were contacted and, on arrival, certified the woman dead at the scene. They transported the boyfriend for medical attention at a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries on arrival.”
Akasia cops are conducting investigations about the incident.
