Polokwane City stars set for mass exodus
Limpopo based outfit Rise and Shine stars are set to leave the club after it was automatically relegated to the GladAfrica Championship.
Rise and Shine midfielder maestro and captain Jabulani Maluleke is expected to tender his resignation at the club after a disastrous season. Senior players like Thabiso Semenya, Zimbabwe national team number one goalkeeper Gorge Chigova, Simphiwe Hlongwane, Bongile Booi and Edgar Manaka are some of the players who are set to leave the club since their contracts with the club have come to an end.
Polokwane City head coach Clinton Larsen is said to be assessing his next future move after a disappointing Absa 2019-20 Premiership campaign. Larsen’s stay at Polokwane City is in doubt after he failed to save the club from relegation. The Polokwane tactician poor run of form was capped with a string of poor results such as the devastating 3-1 defeat against Bidvest which automatically cemented their relegation status.
Under the charge of Larsen, Polokwane City has only won 3 matches, drew 3, and suffered 11 humiliating losses.
In the last six games of the just ended Absa Premiership Polokwane City only managed to gunner 2 points from a possible 18 points.
