Police officer rapes and impregnates inmate
A police officer is up for rape after he had sex with an inmate and impregnated her. The Correctional Services onfirm lodging the complaint against the police officer in KwaZulu-Natal.
The Correctional Services National Commissioner Arthur Fraser confirmed to the Parliament that the official impregnated a prisoner awaiting trial.
“What we discovered in the process is that the police officer collected the remanded and that the sexual act happened outside our facility. We have engaged with Saps and they are busy with disciplinary matters in this regard.”

“I thought we had to reflect on this so you do not see it on social media later and think we have not registered it with the committee. Weare following that up, but we want a clear protocol on how we deal and who can collect. So that is the protocol we are busy with, ” said Commissioner Fraser.
It is said that the inmate was in a vulnerable position hence the rape charges. According to eNCA, the police officer is still undergoing disciplinary process. This is the second case being investigated in the same province after a video of a male prisoner having sex with a female official went viral.
Members of the public on social media think it is best and fair if the police officer is fired just like the female official from the viral sex tape. Others think of what is to come and how the police officer will take care of his child if he is fired and ends up unemployed.
