Ncibijana Madlala joined Mzansi Telenovela soapy Gomora as Mjay. Gomora depicts the life of South Africans who live in townships filled with love and conflict. A severe tension is rising between Melusi and Phumulani, leading to the rise of a new character in Mjay.

Who is the new Gomora street thug Mjay ‘Ncibijana Madlala’ in real life
Ncinijana Madlala was born on 1 January 1978 in Gauteng. After completing his academic studies, he ventured into different hustles and jobs to make ends meet. Before pursuing his long-time dream of acting, he worked as a call centre officer. Madlala is a family man and father of two boys and two girls. He loves worshipping in the church and is also an avid runner.
On Gomora, he is playing the role of a dangerous street thug working with a wealthy man Phumulani.
Phumulani is involved in many dirty deals, but he wants to maintain his goodwill as a saint. On the other hand, Melusi, a childhood lover of Phumulani’s wife Thathi, recognizes that Phumulani is not as innocent as he looks. Serious fights are imminent, and Mjay is roped in to wipe out Phumulani’s dirt.
Career path
In 2004, he completed his acting studies at MNS Ability, a public acting school. Despite many applications, his middle-level education failed to land him any notable role within the industry. His first screen appearance came in 2008 when he performed the Samkelo role in the second and third seasons of SABC 1 drama Mtunzini.com. Later that year, he got another role in SABC 1 dramatization arrangement “A Place Called Home” as Jabu.
In 2012 he scooped the role as a soccer mentor ‘Abdul Khoza’ in the arrangement drama Intersexions. His most prominent role came when he joined Mzansi Magic dram Isibaya as Wiseman.
