Best known for his on-screen character on Generations as Thomas Mashaba, Rantebeng Makapan disappeared on Mzansi’s small screens in the wake of his newfound fame.
No doubt he wowed Mzansi with his unmatched acting flair as a spoiled son of Kenneth Mashaba. He was part of the star-studded cast of Generations that included the late Menzi Ngubane, Connie Ferguson and Rami Chuene.
However, in the wake of his newfound fame, he went awol on Mzansi leaving many wondering where the actor disappeared. Despite starring in a few drama series after Generations he quickly fizzled out leaving many wondering if he was cancelled or what.
Well in the wake of the theories about his whereabouts the actor has promised Mzansi an epic come back but behind the cameras. We will ever get to see him wowing us with his flair after all? Mzansi has managed to connect the dots with him and he is doing well in establishing himself as a director in his own right.

The actor is now in the process of establishing a production company of his own and trying to bridge the gap between the old and new narrative of business when it comes to small screens.
Apart from that he is also now doubling as a network marketer and TV host. In his recent interview, he revealed that he is still into acting.
“When got into the industry around 2003/2004 when you went to an audition, there was a block there that said experience, and where did you study.
Fast forward to now, that block has been replaced by the number of Instagram followers, and the number of Facebook followers. They. No longer look at your experience but at look at whether you’re an influencer or a socialite.
I really want to be the guy that’s behind the scenes, that’s providing the content. I discovered that there’s a lot of space that I can fill. Besides that, I’m very much into network marketing.”
