Twitter personality Michael Bucwa’Mr Smeg’ to debut his acting career in Durban Gen.
Mr Smeg started as a Twitter user who posted positive things about trending celebrities. When he shot his shot at Pearl Thusi, and she agreed to go on a date with him, he blew up. The two went on a date streamed live on social media and attracted a lot of sponsors. After that, doors opened for Mr Smeg, and he has been making headlines more frequent.
Mzansi woke up to the news that the social media star is debuting his acting career with a role in Durban Gen. According to entertainment reporter Phil Mpela, Mr Smeg will make a cameo appearance in the medical drama series. The drama series has been hiring new actors regularly because of the nature of their storylines. Several people have debuted their careers in the telenovela over the past two years.
Durban Gen has recently announced that it will be cancelled. The drama series is to stop airing in January 2023. Due to viewers’ preference for short drama series than telenovelas. Etv is trying to align its content to suit its viewer’s needs.
