Mmabatho Mogomotsi is well known for her role in Muvhango, playing James’ mother for several seasons now. The actress portrays a mother who loves her son so much and would do anything to make him and his family happy. However, after she found herself at the wrong place at the right time and witnessed a murder, her life changed for the worst.
Moipone was the sole witness to Tenda murdering his nephew, and she paid the consequences by being left for dead in the elevator after being attacked by Tenda. However, as revenge Moipone stole Tenda and Mpho’s baby and left it for James and Imani to raise. When the truth finally comes to light, it starts a fight that lands Moipone and Tshireletso in jail after Tenda tries to pin the murder on his other nephew.
The actress behind the character of Moipone is a multi-talented figure in the entertainment industry. The actress started her career in the late nineties with a role in the Telenovela Yizo Yizo. She did the role of Snowey justice on the production. She went on to land several other roles in her career in productions like Zero Tolerance, Jacob’s cross, Rhythm City, Hillside and many others.

On top of all that, Mogomotsi also is a scriptwriter and Director at Afroville Media, an audio-visual production company.
The multilingual actress is well versed in English, Setswana and Sesotho and is fluent in them. She was cast as the head nurse in a feature film called Mafrika, famously known as Surprise! in the United Kingdom.
