For Mohale, the outfit was plain but, his message was clear. Mohale was among hundreds of queer people during the Johannesburg Pride Day in Sandton. They had fun and the rainbow flag was the order of the day.
A week ago the United States embassy issued a warning about a possible bomb explosion. The embassy said there will be an explosion on the 29th and 30th of October in Sandton. Many people speculated why this is predicted to happen during a scheduled Pride Walk.
With the embassy’s warning, a lot of people weren’t phased at all. Stars and ordinary members of the queer community flocked to Sandton for the event. Many said, “Fear is temporary, pride is forever”. People showed up wearing rainbow colours, some had very interesting messages on their outfits.
