Mpume Mthombeni is married to Hle Lwandle Mamlungu Mthombeni. The pair were married in December 2018 and have been together since then. They showed off their rings on Facebook and Instagram after they married and congratulated fans and family.

The actress played MaMbhele in Zbondiwe, and she gained a lot of attention from players in the industry. She was later given the role MaXimba in Uzalo on SABC 1 before playing Duduzile in Imbewu the seed when the drama series debuted. Currently, she is playing the role of Agatha or Mam’ Dlamini on Durban Gen and has people frequently talking because of her role.
She is the mother to Thabo Dlamini and Sbusiso and the woman who raised Mbali. As much as she is the perfect mother to her children, sometimes she has her problems and troubles. She is an ex gambling addict who lost her husband on the operating table. She also lost her younger son in a hostage situation to a gunshot. After Sbusiso dies, she has to live with the act that he left everything to Mbali, and she finds a job at the hospital to turn her life around.
