Shauwn Mkhize’s football club Royal AM finished the season on a high, sitting third with forty-seven points behind Sundowns and Cape Town City. Upon finishing third, owner MaMkhize and club chairman Andile Mpisane vowed to invest more into the club until it is the best in South Africa. It was a campaign that showed how the new management was ambitious about getting Royal AM to the top of ABSA premiership.
Following their word, chairman Mpisane stuck to his word as he announced massive news to the fans after signing four talented players and a new head coach. The new head coach will fill in the position of John Maduka, who resigned after taking the club to the top three. To replace John, Andile went in for a tried and tested gaffer who has previously worked for top clubs and the Bafana Bafana national team. On the players’ side, he reinforced the midfield and forward positions with foreign players that will help the current squad.

Samir Nurković – Foward
On players, Andile signed Kaizer Chiefs talisman Samir Nurković who bagged 18 goals in forty-two appearances with Kaizer Chiefs. The Serbian forward is in his peak years, and Royal AM expects to get the best of him.
Andre de Jong – Foward
The twenty-five-year-old Newzealand forward is yet to cement himself as one of the best forwards in South Africa. His time at Amazulu is undoubtedly not what the striker had been looking forward to having. Royal AM came at the perfect time to show that he is one of the best strikers.
