Former Orlando Pirates top fan Mamajoy Chauke is enjoying her life after switching to Royal AM. She finally met club President Shauwn Mkhize at her La Lucia mansion. She attended an event organised by True Love magazine to celebrate the Mkhize family’s feature on the cover page.
The cover picture features MamMkhize, as she is popularly known, her son Andile Mpisane, the chairman of Royal AM, and his daughter Baby Flo.
Mamajoy’s poem to Shauwn Mkhize
Given a chance to speak as everyone listened, Mamajoy recited a poem to her benefactor praising her for taking Royal AM to the premiership against all odds.
‘President Shauwn Mkhize, welcome to the PSL, you have always wanted to be here, and here you are,’ Mamajoy sang praises to the Royal AM president. She was wearing a black and gold dress, the colours of her new favourite club.
She rubbed shoulders with other businesswomen and media personality Enhle Mbali who was also present.

Royal AM is blistering and sits in the third position, nine points off the summit. Mamelodi Sundowns leads the log as second-placed Sekhukhune United performs better than expected.
Migration from Orlando Pirates
Chauke left Orlando Pirates for the Durban based club stating she was impressed by Shauwn Mkhize’s persistence to compete in the PSL. Despite missing only one Orlando Pirates home match in fourteen years, the top football fan decided to put loyalty aside and side with a woman. She insisted that the wealthy businesswoman paid no transfer fee, but she changed sides out of her conviction as hard as it was for her. She served the Soweto based side for 30 years, and it is the first time that a prominent club fan has changed affiliation in South African football history.
