The twin brothers were born in the Boston, United States of America, on 3 January 1991. The Major League DJz are proud South with an American upbringing. The twins relocated to South Africa a few years after the Apartheid Era ended.
Their father was a South African Ambassador in Rwanda but was an exile and lived in America for 35 years. The Major League DJz’s father was also a pianist and influenced his twins in the world of music. When Bandile and Banele were 13, their dad passed away, and their mother raised them. Their mother is a director at the Department of Social Development and works as a social worker.
The twins ventured into music when they were teens, the duo used to play the piano in elementary school. After graduating from high school, they began djing and music creation. The Major League DJz have paved the way for themselves in the competitive entertainment world by coining the new age of Kwaito music, which has become a prominent South African craze.
The Major League DJz are the epitome of hard work and stop at nothing to be successful. The duo had managed to transform Kwaito music into contemporary urban music culture. The 31-year-old twins joined the Mabala Noise record label in 2016. They were introduced to the record label by the late Riky Rick, who had a passion for developing upcoming stars. Mabala Noise Entertainment offered the duo to collaborate with Anatii and Casper Nyovest, the twins did justice to the collaboration, and they became famous. Since their breakthrough into the entertainment industry, they have dropped hit songs one after the other and show no signs of slowing down.
