Women move on faster than men. While TV personality and advertiser Katlego Maboe is still fighting to resurrect his career after a messy breakup, her ex-wife Monique Muller has moved on. She is even posting pictures with her new boyfriend to salt the wounds of her ex-husband. But wait, the ‘new’ man was there in 2016!
Muller seems to have been provoked by a Twitter thread posted by Maboe’s friend Sipeto Loyiso Ganca claiming his friend was also abused by a ‘possessive Muller.
Was Monique Muller cheating Katlego Maboe?
In a twist of events, supporters of Maboe in her break up with Muller suspect the ex-wife may have cheated him throughout their relationship with the man she dated in 2016. While it is not clear if Muller indeed cheated, she posted the pictures to unsettle Katlego and his supporters for being nosy. Ganca claims Maboe started seeing Monique in 2016, the same year Monique was seeing his current lover.

She also went to post a picture of the pair this year as she kissed his cheek.
Muller also posted a picture of herself drinking wine while insinuating that Katlego and his team are upset by her success.
How it started
All hell broke loose for Maboe after a video of him confessing to cheating Muller and passing an STI to her. The video was shared online, and Muller’s brother Seth claimed Katlego physically abused her sister. The posts also claimed a protection order was granted in favour of Monique.
The aftermath
Cardova, the producer of the Expresso Show, axed Katlego from his role pending an investigation into the domestic violence allegations. Outsurance, an insurance company whose adverts featured Katlego, announced removing all the videos the presenter features as practically as possible.
South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) removed his nomination as Best TV Presenter of the year.
Katlego is now jobless and fighting legal battles from the altercation. He also suited his ex-wife, his ex-brother in law Seth, and SAFTA for causing emotional and economic harm to him.
