Hlengiwe from Scandal, real name Nqobile Nunu Khumalo, took to Instagram to post a video collage and her Italian actor husband, Federico Ancillai. The video collage contained pictures of the two love birds on numerous dates, events and the beach in locations locally and abroad. They are a well-travelled couple. The lovely video of the smitten couple’s happy memories has the song You Are My High by Dj Snake, and it was captioned, “IFLU Happy Anniversary, my love.”
Federico Ancillai also took to Instagram to post a picture of them both kissing under a warm sunset; that’s where he let us know that they have spent two years in a romantic relationship with one another. He wrote a romantic caption about choosing the actress in the picture. Federico is serious about this woman as he emphasizes that she’ll eternally be the woman he chooses for himself meaning, he wants no other.
Nqobile is originally a Swaziland national, but her family moved to South Africa when she was an infant; she studied this side from primary level until she graduated from University. Both Nqobile and her boyfriend Federico don’t descend from South Africa. The actress is famous for her roles on Soul City, Isibaya and her current Hlengiwe and NFH journalist on Scandal. Nqobile ironically has a journalism degree in real life from the Midrand Graduates Institutes, meaning; she’s currently playing a character that could’ve been here had she pursued the career she studied for instead of acting. It’s fascinating.
Federico is no stranger to show business as he’s an actor and a model. He acted on the Italian movie Burning Red then focused on modelling more than his acting. Locally he hasn’t done any drama, but with the talent he displayed on Burning Red, he could make a significant contribution to the local film and television industry.
What do we admire about the couple? They are both actors and models. It’s scarce seeing two people fall in love in the same industries. We wish them well.
