Former Gomora actress Buhle ‘Ama Qamata’ celebrated birthday and; her actual age surprises Mzansi. Ama has been playing Buhle, the daughter of Thati (Katlego Danke), in the Mzansi Magic telenovela Gomora. She joined the Gomora cast in 2020 and has played dual roles of Buhle on Gomora and Puleng on the Netflix drama Blood and Water. However, she recently left Gomora to explore other opportunities in the entertainment industry.

The star has played two lead roles as a school-going teenager, always wearing her school uniform, leaving many assuming she is a teenager in real life. Being a teen saves her well as she looks youthful and young; however, she is 24 years old in real life.
Ama Qamata was born on 2 September 1998 in the Eastern Cape village of Cala in the Sakhisizwe municipality. While celebrating her birthday, Netflix South Africa took it to their Instagram to wish her a happy birthday. Ama’s fans came to the post and wished her a happy and prosperous birthday.
Qamata grew up in the Eastern Caper and attended The Reddam House School for her matric, passing with excellent grades. Her choice wasn’t wrong after all as she is winning in her career and is dupped as the next prominent actress in Mzansi.

Her departure from Gomora left many heartbroken as they had grown fond of her character and demanded her back. The Buhle character returned to the screens, and Gomora viewers rejoiced; little did they know she was airing her last episodes on the show. Qhoqhoqho, the Molefe family enemy, killed her character, and she kissed goodbye to her role.
