A look at Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane’s visit to Zulu King Misuzulu
She has made all sorts of headlines since she was crowned Miss South Africa. However, to make matters worse, Mzansi is yet to shower her with blessings, but she cares less. The 24-year old, born Miss South Africa, had a backlash after modelling agencies and the South African government pulled a plug on her regarding sponsorship as she contested for Miss Universe.
However, in the backdrop of the drama, she outshined at the modelling contest and was crowned second runner-up. Well, back home in KwaZulu-Natal, she was given a legendary welcome party as she graced the King’s palace to show the nation her crown.
Speaking to the media, she revealed that her KwaKhangelamankengane Royal palace visit was to show respect and thank the King and the nation at large for their support. After being crowned Miss South Africa in October, the visit was part of her homecoming celebrations. A month later, she hogged headlines as she was crowned Miss Universe second-runner up.

Lalela’s homecoming celebrations kicked off with a Kings visit and were concluded today as she was welcomed at the KwaSokhulu sports ground in her village. However, she has been winning big, and many questions have been asked of late about her private life and all.
The celebrated model also doubles as a ballet dancer. She hogged headlines in 2015 when she was crowned the first runner up at the 2015 Matric Experience pageant. However, since then, she has been winning big.
It wasn’t all rosy as she was denied modelling chances with several agencies up until her thrust into the limelight. She was crowned Miss SA 2021, succeeding outgoing Miss SA 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida. She was born on March 27 1997, in KwaSokhulu, Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.
