Barely a few weeks after their much-talked-about engagement Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha pulled a shocker when it was established that they were heading for a colourful traditional wedding.
No doubt their wedding which was recently held this weekend lived up to expectation. Their viral wedding photos got Mzansi talking. Many thought it was too early and others had their own views but the two looked all loved up.
It’s more of trouble in paradise for the two. Wait in case you might have missed all the screaming newspapers headlines Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha are finally husband and wife!
The controversial qgom stars put Durban to a standstill with their traditional wedding today. Born Bongekile Simelane and Mandla Maphumulo the two tied the knot in a colourful traditional wedding.
Their traditional wedding held at Ebandla hotel, Ballito in Durban, KZN. Despite their wedding running hours late because of their gigs, it didn’t spoil the mood.
The two looked loved up. The groom wore a traditional isiZulu attire and Babes wore traditional Swazi attire. Due to the Covid 19 regulation, it was reserved for a few close relatives and friends.

Mzansi celebs like DJ Bongz, DJ Tira, Lvovo, Dladla Mshunqisi, Ngizwe Mchunu, Uzalo actors Khaya Dladla and Nokuthula Mabika made it to the list.
Babes’ parents, Bishop Welcome Simelane and Thokozile Simelane attended the wedding. While Mampintsha’s father Mseshi Maphumulo also attended.
They fused their traditional wedding with umembeso. The ceremony saw Mampintsha’s family giving Babes Wodumo’s parents and her family gifts.
The newlywed couple was not allowed to speak to the media as all rights have been sold to Showmax channel which will broadcast on their upcoming show called Uthando Lodumo.
Bishop Vusi Dube blessed them as husband and wife and wished them well on their journey. DJ Tira who discovered Mampintsha and Babes in the music industry congratulated them and challenged other artists like Lvovo, Danger, and DJ Bongz to also get married.
“Their relationship has not been a walk in the park as their couple’s spats have been made public but in the end, love has won.”
Uthando Lodumo’s executive producer Thomas Gumede told Daily Sun that the show will be shown on Showmax soon.
