Kelly Khumalo finally went on a public platform to let her chest off some things. She was on an eNCA interview last night with her attorney; she shook the nation during the interview. Kelly made revelations, one being that she didn’t even know who Senzo Meyiwa was before they started dating.
After her interview, the eNCA journalist gave her opinion on Kelly and the interview itself. The journalist said Kelly seems to be a woman who wants to own her story. At times, Kelly was asked questions and directed the answers to be in her upcoming reality show. She could’ve wanted to use the platform to promote the show.
“I want my day in court.”
Kelly maintains that what happened on that fateful night was merely a botched robbery that resulted in the death of her partner. As most people know, a witness came forward and said Kelly accidentally shot Senzo with a revolver on that night. Kelly wants to clarify what happened in detail inside the court about that dreadful night.
Instead of feeling scared of a possible arrest in the future, Kelly said she is highly disappointed with the South African justice system. She says her supporters on Instagram say they believe her as they also faced the same thing. According to these Kelly fans, they lost loved ones but became suspects in the same cases when the criminals got away.
Kelly fears for her life.
Since Senzo passed away, Kelly has been receiving multiple death threats, and it keeps escalating. When the journalist questioned who sent these threats, Kelly said it would be revealed on the show. In recent weeks, Kelly has shared social media content of herself running regular errands with bodyguards.
According to Kelly, a large swarm of individuals believe she is guilty of murder. She is not the only one getting death threats. It is so bad that her family members, witnesses and attorney are also getting death threats. Kelly also mentioned how the police aren’t doing anything to protect her or her loved ones.
Mzansi has mixed reactions to the interview.
Kelly’s fans say they believe her and everything she is saying. Some mentioned how they admire her strength in dealing with the trial and social media backlash simultaneously. Some say they wish the trial was over soon so Kelly could rest and get peace of mind.
Some tweeps feel that Kelly does not seem like a woman who lost a partner. Some said she was overdressed for an interview of this calibre and that she looks like someone who is showing off. According to this demographic, she seems too calm and relaxed, especially with a trial coming.
Life with Kelly season 3
Life with Kelly season 3 dropped this morning, and the first episode is called A Lot Has Changed. In the episode, she shared some progress with her son Christian. Kelly and her mother have found him a school that caters for his needs as a child.
An essential aspect of that interview is her interview with Relebogile Mobotja on 702 radio. Kelly opened up about not coping but rather living her life to the fullest. All the noise ranting about her is external, and she does not allow it in her world. She intends to continue to live despite the opinions of the people who want to drag her.
