The President of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa and his cabinet will take a one third pay cut for the next three months. The president was speaking during a national address on the coronavirus pandemic.

Ramaphosa challenges companies to follow suit
The President has challenged executives from large corporates to follow suit and implement pay cuts and contribute to the solidarity fund.
South Africa currently has 1,845 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 18 deaths. Only 45 people have recovered from the pandemic in South Africa
