Paradzai Zimondi Brother In Accident On Way To Shiri’s Burial
Chief Chifyiyamiti who is the brother of retired Prisons boss Major General Paradzai Zimondi’s brother was involved in a vehicle accident on his way to Perrance Shiri’s burial together with four other unidentified passengers.
The details of the accident are not yet clear, Savanna News has however learnt that Chief Chifyiyamiti had an accident.
Zimbabwe’s minister of Lands, Agriculture and Rural Resettlement, Retired Air Chief Marshall Perrence Shiri died from Covid-19. He was 65. The former Air Force Commander missed a cabinet meeting on Tuesday last week and was briefly hospitalized on the same day after his driver succumbed to the coronavirus.
News of Perrence Shiri’s death was revealed by Norton Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa on social media. Writing on Twitter, the legislator said,
I’m gutted to just receive news that Rtd. Air Marshal, Hon. Perrence Shiri popularly known as “Gudo Guru” during the liberation war, is no more. A true nationalist & Commander par excellence, the late Shiri was one of the hard-working & effective members of Cabinet. MHDSRIEP

Shiri was buried at the National Heroes Acre in Harare on Friday 31 July 2020.
