Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder Papi Zothwane has returned to coaching after a six-month break. He has taken over as the head coach of Dlangezwa Hellenic, a team in the ABC Motsepe League in KwaZulu-Natal. His younger brother and ex-professional Nhlanhla Zothwane will be his assistant coach.
According to FarPost, Zothwane was appointed by Hellenic after they sacked their entire technical staff due to poor performance. Zothwane was a skillful playmaker who played for Golden Arrows before joining Sundowns and representing Bafana Bafana. He was involved in a transfer dispute between Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs, but Sundowns won the case and signed him. He retired from playing and became a coach, working for Uthongathi FC as their head coach until recently.
