“Only death will separate me from ANC,” declares Magashule
Suspended ANC Secretary General Ace Magashule declares that he will not leave ANC despite his suspension. This comes after he did not apologise to the President after an ultimatum was issued. Magashule was addressing people after the postponement of the Former President Jacob Zuma’s trial.
Ace Magashule attended Zuma’s court case and said he will never leave or be banned from the ruling party. His address breaches the terms of his suspension not to mobilize any structure of the ANC or members of the political party.
The suspended ANC Secretary General called on ANC supporters to come in their numbers when the former Presidents’s trial continues on the 26th of May.
“Next time when we come here on the 26th, we will bring the whole Free State and KwaZulu-Natal here,” Magashule said.
Last week Magashule took the ANC to court for suspending him and wants the High Court to overturn his suspension. Magashule is charged with corruption in the Free State and his battles with the political party are still ongoing.

Despite Zuma facing 16 counts which include fraud, corruption, money laundering and racksteering among other accounts, the ANC national Executive Committee member Tony Yengeni vows his support to the former President and said they owe no one an apology for doing so. Yengeni also claims the NPA is being used to settle political scores within the ANC.
Most wonder if this is the same party act that will end up in Magashule being the President of South Africa. The former President Thabo Mbeki was expelled and the current President Cyril Ramaphosa was also banned and now this happens. However, this seems unlikely as the ANC is distancing itself from him and his political fame has been negatively affected by the suspension.
