State media is reporting that one Zimbabweans, who is part of a diaspora group that protested and allegedly attacked 2017 coup announcer and Foreign Minister of Zimbabwe Subusiso Moyo has returned to Harare. The lady is reported to be stationed at the Belvedere Teachers College quarantine facility.
Zimbabweans are worried that the announcement by state media will result in retribution to the alleged attacker.
The incident happened in the United Kingdom in July 2019 when he had visited London. Moyo had gone for a four-day re-engagement programme to strengthen bilateral relations between Harare and London and to woo investment for Zimbabwe.
Moyo was met the protesters just outside the Zimbabwe embassy in London and one of the protesters sprayed water on him. His security managed to whisk him away in a car and escaped the mayhem.
The Zimbabwe government blamed the opposition party MDC for the attacks and ran a story that indicated the protesters where members of the opposition.

“If anything happens to this lady in this clear case where you are spoiling for retribution and vengeance history will judge you harshly , be responsible platforms of national unity and reconciliation instead of purveyors of hate and goblin politics”
“Here i agree with you. We are being petty. If indeed its true that she is part of the returnees, then we have to show her that the new dispensation is not revengeful like the Mugabe gvt. She has learnt a lesson that home is always the best”
“Was the minister attacked? Oh shame pane ane video yacho here minister being attacked? Was she armed with a gun, machete, or attacked her with fists? Was the minister hurt? Hospitalized? For you to report it I think the minister was really hurt and hospitalized”
“Please fellow sane citizens let us no fold our hands and let zanupf government vilifying one of our own these returnees are also Zimbabweans and they deserve to be treated with dignity,remember injustice to one is injustice to all zanupf and its lots e.g Sunday mail must fall”
