Ntobeko Sishi is a South African Actor who plays Ntokozo in Gomora. The show began with him accidentally killing Mbongeni Ndaba forming the basis of the show. While Ntobeko might not be hijacking cars and shooting people in real life, the similarities between him and his character are interesting!
Why Ntokozo and Ntobeko are alike
Ntokozo is the son of Gomora Secondary’s Principal, Melusi Dlamini, played by Zolisa Xaluva, and Gladys, played by Thembi Seete. On-screen, Ntokozo is the student we all dreamed we were, cool and intelligent, scooping As every other day. In real life, Ntobeko is not far off from his character. The 21-year-old is clearly a numbers genius as he is a Finance graduate!
Not only is Ntokozo book smart but his role in the media club of Gomora has shown that in front of the camera, he’s a natural. Clearly, that defines Ntobeko who feels at home in front of the camera. A presenter gig on SABC 2’s Hectic Nine9 as well as a stint on Signal High showed that the camera is just home for him!
Where we not all charmed when Ntokzin spit some bars for Buhle? We definitely were! It’s not much of a surprise that Ntokozo is a musician in real life. Spitting bars and rhyming is clearly just his thing!
On Gomora, Ntokozo has never had a problem with the girls, always attracting the forbidden beautiful ones! From MaZet who brought the promise of danger and excitement to Buhle, the one girl his mum would never let him be with. With those looks, we are pretty sure the ladies stay flocking to Ntobeko! After all the rumours about him and Zodwa Wabantu…
Either way, we just have to love Ntobeko Sishi- on screen and off screen!
